Order of the list of health services that require prior authorisation

We hereby inform you that the Order of the list of health services that require prior authorisation (hereinafter: the Order) was published on 24 January 2014 in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, no. 6/2014, which enters into force on the fifteenth day after the publication in the Official Gazette.
the Order
The Order determines the list of highly specialised and expensive medical infrastructure or medical equipment used in health-care services which, as from 8 February 2014, require prior authorisation from the Health Insurance Institute of the Republic of Slovenia (hereinafter: ZZZS) as a condition for enforcing the right to the reimbursement of costs as per Article 44.c of the Health Care and Health Insurance Act (hereinafter: ZZVZZ). In compliance with the Order, prior authorisation from the ZZZS is requested for health-care services which require the use of the following highly specialised and expensive medical infrastructure or medical equipment:
• scintillation camera with coincidence detection in positron emission or without coincidence detection,
• positron camera,
• positron emission tomography,
• computed tomography,
• hyperbaric chamber,
• device for nuclear magnetic resonance imaging for clinical use,
• nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer for clinical use.
