The National Contact Point (hereinafter referred to as: NKT-Z) strives to make its web pages user-friendly and also available to users with special needs. Here are some pieces of advice that can improve your user experience with our website.
World Wide Web Consortium standards
NKT-Z strives to observe the Strategy and use the resources
and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines for users with special needs prepared by the W3C Consortium
By observing these Guidelines the website content is accessible to a wider range of people with special needs (the blind and visually impaired, the deaf and hearing impaired, persons with limited mobility). Based on these Guidelines, the content is also more accessible to other users.
Among others, the following recommendations are followed:
- descriptions are provided for important figures,
- fonts that can be magnified are used,
- the use of frames is avoided because some browsers have difficulties in displaying them,
- descriptions are provided to the website’s multimedia content,
- names of links are descriptive.
If instructions for your browser, device or operating system are not provided in the links below, please contact the manufacturer/supplier directly and request detailed instructions for using devices for people with special needs.
